BAPTISM

We believe baptism is a public proclamation of faith and new life in Jesus Christ. It is an outward public testimony of an inward transformation. If you would like to learn more about baptism, schedule a baptism or speak to someone about salvation, we are here to help.

BAPTISM FAQ’S

  • Baptism symbolizes that our old self is gone (going under the water) and our new self has come (coming above the water). There is nothing magical in the water, for it alone does not make us a believer in Christ, but rather it's a declaration to the world that you’ve made a decision in your heart to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Baptism is one the most powerful ways we can carry the name of Jesus and the first step of obedience as we follow the example that Jesus laid out for us in Matthew 3.

  • Baptisms occur regularly during a scheduled weekend service where as a church we pause to celebrate all of those who have proclaimed their new life in Christ. Keep an eye out on our events page to see dates for the next Baptism.

  • We'll have a pastor in the water to ask if you have followed Jesus as your Lord and Savior and celebrate you being baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If you would like someone special to immerse you just ask ahead of time and we'll work with you to make it happen!

  • Baptism is for children who can express their own decision to trust and follow Jesus and understands the meaning of baptism. Finally, as parents, we have the biggest influence on what our children understand about Jesus, but they are the ones to decide if they will commit their lives to Him.
